***7/25/13 – TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES RESULTED IN NO PICTURES TO POST THUS FAR. However, I wanted to share the following information:
1) Enter on the Euclid side of the park (even if you park on the street, and don’t go through the $5 parking “station” to park inside the park), entering near this side of the park, where you see a “Mile Square Park” sign, will get you a lot closer to Shelter #1 (I think if I remember right you go down the road after the parking tower and veer toward the left…then very soon, you see Shelter #1 on the right (by the lake – the smaller lake….the park has two lakes…we’re at the one without the bridge).
2) The park offers many fun activities including Bike Rentals, Paddleboat Rentals, Volleyball Court, Fishing (with license), and a Nature Center.

Join us July 27 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. for our First Annual SAA Picnic at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.  ***This is an Open Event — For SAA Members and their Friends and Family.*** Please bring your own burgers and hot dogs to grill.  Sign up to bring your favorite side dish to share or sign up to volunteer (we can always use volunteers to help set up). We will have several activities to keep you amused, including volleyball and several “Minute to Win It”-inspired Games…with prizes.  Come enjoy fun in the sun with your fellows.
